Stroll around the Basque Coast 

The Atlantic Pyrenees offer amazing and multi-faceted landscapes ! We invite you to discover the Côte Des Basques 5min walking from the hotel, renowned for its surf schools and its magnificent sunsets. The Grande Plage, the most famous, stretches from north to south of the bay preceding Port Vieux beach where the hotel is located and overlooks the famous Rocher de la Vierge. Extend your walk to the lighthouse to discover the panoramic view of the entire city of Biarritz !

From Bidart to Hendaye, the coastal path winds its way over 25 km, the perfect place for a hike with family or friends during your holiday in the Basque Country.

Have fun in Biarritz 

A cinema desire ? a few minutes walking from the hotel, you will find le Cinema Royale, lovers of original version movies will appreciate the programme. At the Gare du Midi take your ticket for a show destination, comedy direction, dance, theater or music. This former train station with an Art Deco facade also houses the studios of the dancers of Thierry Malandain's choreographic center.


Sites and Museum in Biarritz 

What to do in Biarritz when it rains ? Do not panic , this is the opportunity to improve your knowledge !

The museum "Musée de la Mer" will make you discover more than 150 species of fish and invertebrates and the chance to attend the seal meal every day from 10:30a.m to 5p.m . A little farther from the city center of Biarritz, "la Cité de l'Océan" offers a fun-scientific space to learn about the ocean in a magnificent setting near the Ilbarritz beach golf course.

To know everything about the the origins of the city of Biarritz, you will cross the different eras with the collections and paintings brought together in the Historical Museum, located in an old Anglican church.

For lovers of Eastern history , the Museum "musée Asiatica"  is a unique place to admire art work from the Indian Region, China and Tibet.

You will also come  across on your way , the churches and the religious heritage of this seaside resort. In 1864, the Empress Eugénie de Montijo had a Chapel built on the imperial domain of the park. A Neo-Gothic church that will bear her name will be dedicated to her when it was built in 1900 in the place Saint-Eugénie. Biarritz has also its Orthodox church which was able too see the light of day thanks to the intervention at the time of Tsar Alexander III and his wife. An important Russian community frequented the seaside resort from the second Empire until 1930s. It was then adorned with icons arriving straight from Saint Petersbourg.
